Sharing my personal career resource

When COVID began, the career world changed. Education changed, let’s face it, we all changed. When I personally decided to make the change in my career path, I was overwhelmed by the vast resources available. While lots of resources existed for people who attended traditional college and university paths, there were limited options for those who either did not get a degree or were wanting to change their lives without dedicating 2-4 years to become indebted. As a self identifying “nerd” I made myself guides to track my research and process. After some time, others began reaching out to me about what I’d found, because they too were struggling to sort through the mass information available. This started a side project of compiling additional resources and looking into options for LGBTQQIA individuals making changes in their careers. Thank you to my fabulous friends, who keep me in check and remind me to keep my options open, because it was their recommendations that encouraged me to focus not on the population I wanted to assist, but what I wanted to do for that group.

I want to help others navigate the career change journey and encourage others who have made their own resource guides to reach out to help expand what’s currently present. This originated as a Google Sheets document and requests for wider distribution lead to the development of this site. Thank you all for your contributions and support. This is nothing if not a community project for mutual support in career development.
